The Rocky Mountain Blood and Marrow Transplant Program (RMBMTP) is advancing care for patients with blood and marrow disorders through compassionate treatment, education and research.

We offer the Rocky Mountain Region's largest full-service stem cell and bone marrow transplant program. We perform autologous transplants and allogeneic transplants as well as a full range of cellular therapies, including DLI's and photopheresis for Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease (cGVHD). We offer treatments for hematological diseases and disorders with classifications of Aplastic Anemia, Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), Amyloidosis, Chronic Lymphocitic Leukemia (CLL), Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML), Hodgkin Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) and Testicular Cancer.

The Program is the only adult National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) donor, collection and transplant facility in Colorado, as well as Colorado’s only adult allogeneic FACT accredited program performing both related donor and unrelated donor transplants. RMBMTP recently expanded the unrelated donor program to include cord blood transplants.

RMBMTP’s research efforts are driven from a desire to broaden the scope of eligible stem cell transplant recipients. Through the use of non-myeloablative or reduced intensity allogeneic transplants and cord blood transplants we are able to broaden both the age and ethnicity of our potential patient population.

Our transplant team includes a program psychologist, social worker, dietitian, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, financial and transplant nurse coordinators, and oncology certified registered nurses. Our Long Term Follow Up Program manages the possible complications of our allogeneic patient's Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD), we not only follow the patient but are also a resource for our referring physicians whose patient's have returned to their care.

The program's volume has grown steadily over the past 16 years. In December of 2005 we performed our 1000th transplant. Current annual volumes exceed 150 stem cell and bone marrow transplants. While our facilities are in the heart of Denver, Colorado our patients come from Nebraska, Wyoming, Kansas, Utah, Montana, Arizona and Western Colorado.
